DRIFFIELD staged its own version of Glastonbury last Saturday - complete with heavy rain and oodles of mud.
Festival-goers who descended on North End Park were drenched by several downpours and squelched through the mud as rain turned the green turf into a sticky quagmire.

But those who braved the weather were not downhearted, and enjoyed a day of 'green theme' events and an evening party in the park featuring several bands.

Previous events held in good weather have seen up to 4,500 attending.
"It is very weather dependent so the crowds were not with us this year, but I think that those people who did turn up had a very good time," said Driffield town clerk Claire Binnington.

And at the height of the Party in the Park - now dubbed Driftonbury because of the mud - it is estimated that there were around 1,000 revellers.
